One thing I learned when I started using coupons was to get coupons from the blinkies in the store even if you don’t use them right away. About a month ago Farmer Johns hot dogs had a blinkie machine so I grabbed 3 coupons. The price was too high to purchase them that day but I figured they would go on sale eventually. This week they went on sale for a good deal and so I got the hot dogs super cheap.

Fry's Trip October 26th
I recently read something about coupons I didn’t know. On coupons that say Do Not Double if the bar code starts with a 9 then the store can’t double them. However, if the bar code starts with a 5 then the store is able to double them. I tried it out with a couple of coupons this morning and it worked. I just love coupons!!

I used a $10 off when you spend $50 coupon from Safeway and got .35 off for bringing my own bags. Thanks JoEllen for the bags. I have definitely saved some money with them. I ended up spending $47.23 and saving $103.48 which is 68%. That is more the savings percentage I prefer.

Fry's Trip October 10th
If you noticed in the Fry’s ad this week it says they are accepting competitor coupons this month as well as tripling coupons. I love when they triple coupons up to $1. I talked to the cashier and you can use a competitor coupon and a manufacturer coupon together on the same item. Sadly I didn’t keep any competitor coupons but I will definitely start looking for some.
