I was excited to see a lot of fruit on sale this week. Since being pregnant I have been craving grapes so I made sure to get some along with some other fruit we don’t get often. When I was stuck eating peanut butter toast for breakfast this morning I realized it was time to give in and go to the grocery store. I have been putting it off because I haven’t been feeling that great and don’t want to deal with the crowds. They had a good deal on Juicy Juice this week and my son goes through a lot of juice so I figured I better take advantage. I ended up spending $55.75 and saving $72.02 which is 56%.

CVS Trip August 10th

There is a new $2/$10 CVS coupon (pg 30 of the magazine) out right now so I was looking forward to going to CVS this morning. I broke up my purchases into three transactions so I could use the coupon 3 times. Transaction #1 3 pkgs Dove Chocolates (Reg. $4.49, Sale $3.00 - $1.50 Q = $1.50 each) 1 pkg Peanut M & M’s (Reg. $3.29, Sale $2.00) CVS coffee Filters ($1.89) I used the $2/$10 coupon and $6.00 in ECB’s. I paid 39 cents OOP and earned back $5 ECB for the candy deal. Transaction #2 Huggies Pull-Ups (Reg. 12.49, Sale $8.99 - $2 Q = $6.99) Huggies Supreme diapers size 2—stocking up for baby #2—(Reg. $10.99, Sale $8.99 -$1 Q = $7.99) Huggies size 5 (Reg. $11.99, Sale $8.99 - $1 Q = $7.99) I used the $2/$10 coupon and $5 ECB that was earned from Transaction #1. I ended up paying $17.59 OOP and earned $5 ECB for the baby needs deal. Transaction #3 Alavert (Reg. $10.99, Sale $5.99 - $4 Q = $1.99) CVS Ibuprofen (Reg. $3.19 – Q for free CVS Ibuprofen =FREE) Lamasil (Reg. $7.59 - $4 Q = $3.59) Lamisilk (Reg. $8.29 - $3 Q = $5.29) I used the $2/$10 coupon and $7.79 in ECB’s. I paid $1.73 OOP and earned $10 ECB for the Lamasil/Lamasilk deal and $3 for the Alavert deal. I ended up paying $15.50 after all three transactions were complete and saving $67.04.

Luckily I had one with me so I got an extra $5 off since my order was over $20. I ended up spending $39.65 and saving $86.91. This worked out to be a savings of 68%.
