Walgreens Trip February 5th

Walgreens:
Total Spent $10.91 + tax
Total Saved $36.90
It has been a long time since I did some serious coupon shopping.  So long in fact that I am about to pay for deodorant.  I haven't done that in years so it has gave me the push I needed to get back into my couponing routine.  I took my almost 6 year old son with me to push the cart teach him the ropes.

I started with $5 register rewards (RR's) from some medicine I bought last week.  To help with the out of pocket (OOP) cost I broke my trip up into two transactions.

Transaction #1:
1 St Josephs Aspirin ($2, Earn $2 RR)
1 Wet Synergy Lubricant ($10 - $1Q = $9, Earn $10 RR)

I paid with my $5 RR and $6.93 ($6 + .93 tax) OOP.  I earned $2 and $10 RR.

Transaction #2:
1 Mentos gum ($.99 - .55Q = .44)
1 Sundown D3 Vitamins ($4 - $1Q = $3, submit for $4 rebate)
2 Colgate Toothpaste ($3 - .50Q = $2.50, Earn $4 RR)
1 Sheets Energy Strips ($3.99, Earn $4 RR)
1 Reach Toothbrush ($2.99, Earn $2 RR)
1 Aqua Fresh Kids Toothpaste ($2.79 - $1.80 Wags Q = $.99)

I paid with the $10 and $2 RR from transaction #1 and $6.30 ($4.91 + $1.39 tax) OOP.  I earned $4, $2, and $4 RR and will submit for $4 rebate.
After all is said and done I paid $4.23 for $47.76 worth of stuff.

Total Saved $9.95
Johnson's & Johnson's lotion (Reg. $5.49, Sale B1G1 50% off, $5.49 & $2.74 - $1Q = $4.49 & $1.74)
Snickers Candy Bar-filler($.69)
I paid using my $5 RR which brought my total down to $1.92 + .64 tax = $2.56 OOP.

Walgreens Trip January 2nd

I decided to take a couple week break from coupon shopping so I could enjoy the holiday. I used up all my register rewards before hand so they wouldn't expire while I was on my break.
Since I started out my shopping trip today with zero register rewards I broke my trip up into two transactions to help keep my out of pocket cost down.
Transaction #1
Finish Powerball Tabs (Reg. $5.49, Sale $3.49 - $2.25 Q = $1.24)
This brought my total down to $1.24 + .27 tax, final price $1.51.
After I paid a $1.50 RR printed out.
Transaction #2
Oscillococcinum Flu medicine (Sale $8.99 - $2Q = $6.99)
Used a clearance Christmas pencil as filler (Clearance $.12)
This brought my total to $7.11 + .70 tax, final price $7.81.
I paid with the $1.50 RR from transaction #1 & $6.31 OOP.
After I paid a $9 RR printed out.

Walgreens Trip April 26th

The items I bought at Walgreens earned Register Rewards. I broke it up into three transactions so I could use the RR on the next transaction. On my third transaction she wouldn’t let me use the previous one because it was over the total spent so I had to pay more OOP. I spent more then I wanted to but have several RR for future use. Transaction 1 Nivea Body Wash (Sale $4.99 - $1Q = $3.99, Earn $5 RR) Ecotrin (Sale $2 - $2Q = Free, Earn $2 RR) I spent $4.57 OOP and earned $7 RR. Transaction 2 Rembrant Toothpaste (Sale $5.99, Earn $6 RR) I used the $5 RR from previous purchase and paid $1.49 OOP. I earned $6 ECB. Transaction 3 Nivea Body Wash (Sale $4.99 - $1Q = $3.99, Earn $5 RR) Ecotrin (Sale $2 - $2Q = Free, Earn $2 RR) I again spent $4.57 OOP and earned $7 in RR.

Walgreens Trip March 9th

Walgreens is running a sale where you buy $25 worth of certain products and get $10 Register Rewards to use on your next trip. Since I had coupons for $5 off each pack of Huggies diapers I decided to stop in and take advantage of the sale. Walgreens Trip January 4th

I haven’t been shopping in a couple weeks due to having a large stockpile so not much to report. I did make a quick trip over to Walgreens today for a couple of free items. They both had a low limit so I couldn’t get much and may make another trip later in the week. Transaction 2 Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil (Reg. $1.69 - $1 Q - .70 Wags Q = .01 overage each) Garnier Fructis Gel (Reg. $3.99, Sale $2.99 - $1Q - $1 Wags Super Saver Q = .01 overage) I only had to pay tax on these items which came out to $.38. Not too bad for items we use regularly. I have some 2009 budget goals which I will try to post shortly.
