CVS Trip September 28th

As you can tell from my lack of posts lately I have been slacking on my coupon shopping. I gotta say, when I am nauseous clipping and organizing coupons does not rank high on my list of things I have to do. Now that I am finally starting to feel better I am going to try and put more effort into couponing. I really see a difference in our grocery spending when I don’t use my coupons. I started my day off buy going to CVS. I broke up my trip into two transactions. Transaction #1 3 12 pks Dr. Pepper (Reg. $4.79 each, Sale 4/$13) 1 12 pk Diet Coke (Reg. $4.79, Sale 4/$130 Total was $13. I used a $10 ECB and paid $3 OOP. I got back $3 ECB’s. Transaction #2 2 kids Colgate Toothpaste (Reg. $3.29, Sale $2.50 - .75Q’s = $1.75 each) Gillette Fusion Razor (Reg. $9.99 - $4 Q = $5.99) Cover Girl Foundation ($5.49 - $1 Q = $4.49) Dog treats (Reg. $.99, Clearance .09) 5 bottles Miracle bubbles (Reg. $.99, Clearance .09 each) Table Cloth (Reg. $1.99, Clearance .14) Wacky Water toy (Reg. $1.99, Clearance .19) I used a $3 ECB and a $4.99 ECB and paid $7.70 OOP. I earned back $2 ECB for buy two Colgate toothpastes, $5 ECB for the Gillette Razor and $5.49 ECB for the Cover Girl foundation. I was very excited to see all the clearance items. My son loves bubbles so we should be stocked up for awhile.

Frys Trip September 11th

Fry’s is having another sale where you buy 15 participating items and you get $3 off your order. I love these sales but it gives me one more thing I have to keep track of. I have to track my coupons, my spending and now make sure I have the 15 items. Nothing like making me work for that $3. I haven’t been to CVS in several weeks and my ECB’s were about to expire so I figured today was the day. Luckily they had some good sales this week that I could match with coupons and make them free or a money maker. I paid with $13 ECB’s and $.31 OOP. I earned back $5 ECB for the Right Guard Deodorant, $3 ECB for the Renuzit and $5 for the Pure Black Rice Cleaner. I walked in with $18 ECB and paid $1.87 OOP. I walked out with $20.99 in ECB and a bunch of FREE stuff. If you need nail polish they are running a good deal on Revlon nail enamel. Pay $3.99 a bottle and earn back $3 ECB. $.99 isn’t bad for nail polish.

There is a new $2/$10 CVS coupon (pg 30 of the magazine) out right now so I was looking forward to going to CVS this morning. I broke up my purchases into three transactions so I could use the coupon 3 times. Transaction #1 3 pkgs Dove Chocolates (Reg. $4.49, Sale $3.00 - $1.50 Q = $1.50 each) 1 pkg Peanut M & M’s (Reg. $3.29, Sale $2.00) CVS coffee Filters ($1.89) I used the $2/$10 coupon and $6.00 in ECB’s. I paid 39 cents OOP and earned back $5 ECB for the candy deal. Transaction #2 Huggies Pull-Ups (Reg. 12.49, Sale $8.99 - $2 Q = $6.99) Huggies Supreme diapers size 2—stocking up for baby #2—(Reg. $10.99, Sale $8.99 -$1 Q = $7.99) Huggies size 5 (Reg. $11.99, Sale $8.99 - $1 Q = $7.99) I used the $2/$10 coupon and $5 ECB that was earned from Transaction #1. I ended up paying $17.59 OOP and earned $5 ECB for the baby needs deal. Transaction #3 Alavert (Reg. $10.99, Sale $5.99 - $4 Q = $1.99) CVS Ibuprofen (Reg. $3.19 – Q for free CVS Ibuprofen =FREE) Lamasil (Reg. $7.59 - $4 Q = $3.59) Lamisilk (Reg. $8.29 - $3 Q = $5.29) I used the $2/$10 coupon and $7.79 in ECB’s. I paid $1.73 OOP and earned $10 ECB for the Lamasil/Lamasilk deal and $3 for the Alavert deal. I ended up paying $15.50 after all three transactions were complete and saving $67.04.
