Dr. Seuss's Birthday

Tomorrow is Dr. Seuss's Birthday. My boys love reading Dr. Seuss books so I try to make this a fun day for them. We will be making green eggs and ham for breakfast and a Cat in the Hat pizza for dinner.
Quick and Easy Pizza Crust
1 pkg active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 cup flour
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy (about 10 minutes).
2. Stir in flour, salt and oil. Beat until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.
3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a hat shape. Transfer crust to a lightly greased cookie sheet dusted with cornmeal. Spread with desired toppings.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes.
Pizza Sauce
1 small can tomato sauce
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp rosemary
Combine ingredients and simmer. Spread on dough.
This pizza was a little different. For the white stripes I put the sauce on the bottom with cheese on top. If you want toppings just put it under the cheese. For the red stripes I did it the opposite way, toppings, cheese and sauce on top.
This was a fun pizza to make and my kids enjoyed it. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!
